19 July saw the start of the second phase of the 'Advertising for the City' campaign, the initiative launched by Audioutdoor together with concessionaires Clear Channel, IGPDecaux and IPAS to raise awareness of the value of the contribution, including economic contribution, that companies planning outdoor campaigns make to cities.
In fact, 50 per cent of the investments that brands make in Out Of Home advertising are transferred to municipalities, airports and public transport - thus contributing directly and indirectly to the financing of street furniture and citizen services.
With OOH, therefore, every message has more value, because it helps to finance services for citizens.
The impressive 'This is the most beautiful advertisement in the world', launched last March, is now followed by the colourful new 'In this space everything is OK' campaign with five, imaginative subjects suitable for different target groups.
In both campaigns, the 'City Label' was introduced, a logo designed to signal the medium sustainability for the benefit of cities, which investing companies can also affix.
Giovanni Uboldi, IGPDecaux Commercial and Marketing Director, commented: 'We are increasingly convinced of the importance and topicality of the message we are bringing to the market in collaboration with our competitors and Audioutdoor: in a period of city recovery and return to life, the OOH medium is not only indispensable in the media mix from a communication point of view, but helps to give back colours to cities and finances their services, in particular public transport, which is a fundamental asset for recovery. This colourful campaign aims to explain this to everyone'.
The 'In this space everything is OK' campaign will be on air for the entire month of August and will cover many Italian cities, including both large centres and holiday resorts.
As for the first phase, research will be carried out later on the recollection and enjoyment of the campaign as well as its understanding.
