IGPDecaux and IGP take you on holiday with Wizz Air

Wizz Air, the fastest growing European airline, is back to communicate to the Italian market, in great style, with a very articulated and widespread OOH (Out-of-Home) project, carried out with IGPDecaux and IGP Brand Solutions, thanks to an extraordinary combination of creative and traditional solutions.

The young and dynamic Hungarian airline celebrates their third year of activity in Italy, by bringing a strong twenty-year experience. Their purpose was to take root in passengers' memories, by stimulating the desire for holidays and, once again, by demonstrating their commitment to offering a wide range of routes.

A massive OOH and DOOH communication activity was planned to tell the 90 destinations reachable from Italy by Wizz Air, from the airports of Milan Malpensa, Rome, Naples, Venice and Catania. The aim is to become the leading low-cost airline in Italy.

With the brand’s bright colors, shocking pink and purple, along with the claim “Fly with Wizz Air,” the metro stops of Termini-Tiburtina-Ottaviano in Rome, Garibaldi in Naples, and a Station Domination at Milan Centrale metro station were customized. The campaign was also planned on 400 bus shelters in Rome, on Digital Vertical LEDs in Milan, and on 195 luxury bus shelters in Naples. A full-wrap tram in Naples was decorated and the campaign was also planned on buses in Mestre.  The campaign had been on air for one month starting in mid-April.

The campaign generated a strong emotional impact and was effective in terms of brand awareness and in strengthening the airline’s positioning.
