"L’arte ti dà il bentornato in città – the art welcomes you back to the city": this is the title of the dynamic installation created by Lorenzo Marini which coloured the trams, the billboards and the bus shelters in four Italian cities thanks to an Out of Home campaign realized with IGPDecaux.
After the weeks of the lockdown, the artist celebrates the rebirth of the urban spaces along with the joy of being together again, with a joyful art work aiming to communicate cheerfulness and optimism. The graphic signs designed by the artist, creating 6 alphabets and over than 150 symbols, come together in a colourful patchwork where the images become words, and the art turns into communication. Thanks to the IGPDecaux urban structures, the art of Lorenzo Marini reached the cities of Milan, Turin, Florence and Rome:
«It is time to think about beauty. Museums and galleries have been closed for months and now they will be able to welcome a limited number of people. Therefore it is time to bring art close to the people and their everyday lives, leaving its isolationist and exclusive role", as commented by the artist.
Here are some shots of the tram which crossed the Milanese streets bringing to the city the welcome-back message “Casa Milano riapre. Bentornati in città”:
